We seek to inoculate our community against the mistruths, misinformation and disinformation plaguing our communities. We will elevate truths and your confidence in our democratic process.

The event will feature Marie E. McKenna-Wicks, MPA, a former East Lansing City Clerk and Elections Assistant and Precinct Chair for the city of East Lansing. Ms. Wicks has extensive experience at all election levels. Of note, Ms Wicks served on the Joint Evaluation Committee at the Michigan Bureau of Elections. This committee had the responsibility of vetting the three election equipment vendors that are used in the State of Michigan.
Marie will review current election law. We’ll review the checks and balances in our voting systems, We will discuss the security of Michigan elections. It will be INSIGHTFUL yet FUN to hear her experiences. Be sure to bring your questions as there will be a vigorous open discussion period. We will have cards for your queries and FOOD for your bellies.
